Francesca Penchant is an American multidisciplinary artist who has exhibited her work throughout the Pacific Northwest and California. Most recently, she has been experimenting with wearable ﬁber art in self-portrait photographs. In 2012, she ﬁnished a Certiﬁcate in Fiber Arts at the University of Washington. She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she studied book arts and print design, and won the $1,000 Hallmark Award for Best Portfolio. Francesca earned two bachelor’s degrees, in art history and English, from Pitzer College in Claremont, California. She was born in Rome in 1970, and grew up in a bi-ethnic family, with a Nuyorican mother and a white father. She lives in Seattle.
